I've been looking for MONTHS for reasonably priced barstools witha) a swivel seat so we scratch the floors less,b) a back for comfort,c) a foot rest,d) stable enough for adults and children,e) no metal or ornate legs or feet designed to rip toes off or slice toddler foreheads (been there with wrought iron!),f) something simple and modern-looking.These chairs deliver it all and are really easy to assemble. All the hard stuff is done, disassembled just enough to fit it in a good, flat box for shipping. The only thing that was hard was screwing on the cushion with the provided wood screws. There are no pilot holes, so you've got to have some grip strength or a power tool to get that done. I am a relatively strong woman but had to get my husband to put the four wood screws into place on each chair. Still, the instructions are clear, the hardware is good and the chair materials feel heavy and solid. We bought three and all of them arrived in perfect condition. We love them. Yay!
