For the price, you can't beat these. I purchased three sets and they look great. However, don't be fooled by some of the reviews of this product. While they are made from solid wood they are not what you would consider an heirloom piece of furniture. The quality is akin to something like you would find at Ikea (which I hold in low esteem). These come partially assembled but go together fairly easily if you have experience with similar types of furniture. If you don't plan on them ever coming apart again, you might want to head on down to your local hardware store and pick up some Gorilla Glue. Adding glue to the joints you assemble will make them stronger and keep the squeaking to a minimum. If you have hard wood floors, you will also want to consider picking up some heavy duty felt for the feet, and you may also want to consider adding some additional finish to the forward cross member. People have a tendency to put there feet there and the finish on these is minimal. Despite this, these are still a great buy. Most of the bar stools of this type I have looked at in the name brand furniture stores are of similar quality and significantly more expensive. If you are looking for something of better quality and can afford it, I would recommend you local outlet for Amish made furniture.

These arrived on time, well packaged, and all of the parts needed were there. Having assembled many, many pieces of furniture in my lifetime, and being fairly handy with tools, putting these together was only mildly frustrating. If this had been my first time assembling something, it would have been more than a little difficult.There are no written instructions, only pictures, and not very detailed ones at that. You do get a list of how many A pieces you have and how many B pieces you have, as well as what size screw to use where. The front and back pieces are also completely assembled when they arrive, so all you really have to do is attach the few pieces in between, and then attach the seat cushion. They do not, however, show you the specific angle at which the lower leg supports should be inserted, nor do they tell you that the holes in the "tabs" for the short screws aren't necessarily pre-drilled at the exit point.Once figured out, they went together relatively easily, and the finished product is even more attractive than in the photo. The color is rich, and more of a deep, dark mahogany than the almost black that most Cappucino finishes seem to be; the seat cushion has a beautiful texture to it.I would definitely recommend these, and if I needed more than 2 barstools, I would buy these again without hesitation.

My wife and I have been searching for a great set of bar stools to replace the cheap ones we bought for our move-in a year ago. I discovered the Coaster bar stools and they really stood apart from the others I've researched.I have to say once they arrived and I had them asseembled, we were even more pleased. Wonderfully crafted, excellent finish, easy to assemble (be sure and lay out the parts carefully before you start assembly as the narrowest leg cross braces are closer to the seat. They also taper in slightly on the back side as part of the sweep design of the chair).Seats are well cushioned and made of easy to clean microfiber material. The style of the chair and the espresso black finish fit perfectly with our decor. Nice height, too! Gave us an extra inch (at least) over the old stools. We were able to fit 4 of these (2 to a pack) comfortably at our kitchen counter and we're enjoying them every day.
