I've noticed none of the Mintra stools on Amazon have reviews. I had two small issues during assembly but once assembled it's worth 5 stars at this price point.I couldn't decide based on the pictures here which product I wanted. I bought both the Mintra counter height stool and the Hillsdale Jefferson 24-Inch Swivel Counter Stool. Both assembled easily. The Jefferson had about half the hardware (bolts/screws, etc) and it felt very flimsy once assembled compared to the Mintra. The foot rest ring on the Hillsdale has a single bolt on each leg. The Mintra has two positioned horizontally at that ring making it feel a lot stronger. The shipping box (not an Amazon box) of the Mintra is higher quality and it was packaged better than the Hillsdale. Hillsdale even had a few of the wood pieces "loose" in the box. The seat cushion on the Hillsdale attaches with "sheet rock" type screws right into the wood on the bottom, no screw holes or threaded inserts. You make your own. Between these two, the build quality is much better with the Mintra. I was actually surprised to see it was made in China. The finish on the wood looks great and all the pieces fit together easily.Assembling the Mintra took about 30 minutes. Actually 20 minutes with a 10 minute delay due to some confusion with the hardware card. It comes in 8 pieces. The seat back, seat, top ring, foot rest ring, and the 4 legs. Each leg has 4 bolts. They have threaded inserts in the wood at all locations. The hardware comes attached to a cardboard piece with each section of items; washers x size, bolt x size, etc labeled and numbered. They are number 1-8 or 9. The assembly instructions are all pictures with a numbered chart indicating which bolts to use where.The first issue I had is the numbered chart on the instruction sheet didn't match the numbers on the hardware card. For example the assembly picture would show to use 2 of #4 screws. You reference the chart to see what screw it is, then check the hardware. #4 on the hardware card wasn't the same as #4 on the instruction sheet. Luckily the instruction sheet chart also gives size/dimensions, which are on the hardware card as well. When you start assembly, use the size descriptions and not the numbers. This wasn't a big deal since the chart gives size/dimensions of each piece of the hardware along with the quantity.The only other issue I had was one of the threaded inserts had been slightly filled with lacquer (or whatever coating is on the wood) and needed to be chipped out of the hole before the screw would fit.Overall for the quality at this price it's a five star product. The two minor issues I had during assembly don't take anything away from how nice the product looks or works. The seat swivel is smooth and the wood doesn't creak when sitting on it. The legs are notched for the foot ring and top ring allowing the weight to be transferred to the leg without relying on the bolt. The Hillsdale had single bolts on the foot ring and no notches. This was one of the key reasons it felt flimsy in comparison.It's too bad Amazon doesn't keep more of these in-stock. I'm ordering 2 or 3 more. I'll update my review once I receive another to see if the hardware card numbering issue was a one off thing and if wood finish is the same quality.UPDATE: I received 2 more of these. Both had cracks in the foot ring and top rings. Amazon to the rescue. They took them back and the 2 replacements are fine. I'm dropping my rating to a 4 star for this. The numbering problem with their instruction sheet chart and the hardware card was present on all 4 (2 returned ones and the 2 replacements). Not a big deal, just look at the size descriptions when putting them together. It also looks like Amazon is stocking more of these now! I'd definitely recommend them.

missing hardware, holes don't line up, one broke in 2 weeks. Cheap but still a waste of money. To large to send back.

First, there are discrepancies between the printed assembly instructions and the card which contains the bolts, washers etc. I bought 2 of these stools. Assembled the first with no problems. On the second one, one of the threaded inserts in one of the legs was off by a full 1/4 inch, so I had to enlarge the hole in the foot rail in order to put it together. It is a nice product once assembled.
