While we haven't used them yet, these chairs appear to be sturdy, well built and nicely finished. However, the assembly details really leave something to be desired. First, the instructions are pretty poor, though this isn't all too surprising for something like this made in Asia. Second...and this was the part that annoyed me...there were no pilot holes for the three screws used to attach the frame to the seat. In fact, for one of the screws, there was a pocket hole drilled in the seat, but this was not in the right location and was drilled in the wrong direction. This leads me to believe that this pocket hole was not supposed to be there at all! The net result was that I had to measure the location of the frame relative to the edges of the seat to ensure it was centered and then use a power driver to drive in the three screws.Fortunately, these issues didn't present a major challenge to me as I am an amateur woodworker, but they could really befuddle someone without the right tools or experience, potentially leading to misassembly.

Bought these chairs based on the good reviews. Don't believe them! Here is why:1. Seat does not align with chair back with you need to screw it in. There is a huge gap which does not look good when you see if after assembly. Also, the seat does not align evenly, it is off center.2. Received 3 FL and 1 FR support frames, you need 2 FL and 2 FR support frames (if you buy if at your risk, you will see what I am talking about). Since I had to make do with what I had, one of the support frames on the bottom of the chair is flipped upside down, leaving you to see the screws on one of them when they should be hidden.3. Instructions are horrible and don't indicate the properly locations for assembly. It takes you at least 20 minutes to figure it out.4. The wood on the seat "cushion" is miscolored severely, I know it is natural wood so variations will exist, but one of the chairs has a seat that looks like it was molded with left over wood stock so it is much darker than the other part of the seat giving it a really unsightly look.Bottom Line: Don't believe the hype, these chairs are not worth the price or hassle of return after you realize all of the issues I mention above. I buy on Amazon a lot (Prime member for 2 years), and this is the first time I have been disappointed by my purchase. Lesson learned, no buying furniture on Amazon any more. You are better off paying a couple bucks more at your local furniture store and taking home assembled sturdy pieces. Definitely not worth it.

Purchased 2 sets of these for our eat-in bar height kitchen counter. Would purchase them again in a heartbeat. Assembly was quick and easy, no wobble whatsoever like other chairs. Very comfortable and, for the price, very economical!
