ordered two of these for our vacation beach house & they are very well built. The smooth cherry wood back compliments the white upholostery & goes well with our granite top & bead board kitchen, complementing the "beach" look. They swivel easily & are very comfortable, plus very easy for both my husband & I to get in & out of. I would recommend these stools to anyone. They were very well packed & arrived exactly when we were notified of their arrival & they were a breeze for me to assemble.

The color combination goes great with the cherry floor and crown molding in the room. However, the cherry backing scratches very easily and the foot rest could be extended further out for comfort. Sitting for an extended time becomes very uncomfortable because of the position of the foot rest. I have to have the chairs positioned away from the bar to prevent them from getting scratched.Arthur B.

These are very nice chairs! In person they look even better than the pictures.They are well made, and the base is sturdy enough to not worry about tipping over.My only annoyance is that the screws provided to secure the back-rest to the seat are too short!There are 3 screws that need to be driven through the back rest and into the bottom of the seat, and 2 of them just barely went through with enough extra to grab on and hold the back-rest in place. But the 3rd screw doesn't even get past the wood of the back-rest, so it can't screw into the receiving hole. This makes the back-rest seem very precariously put on, and I think that with a hard bump, the back-rest might break off.That problem was easily solved through by going to the nearby hardware store and grabbing a slightly longer screw to replace the short one with.
