I recently remodeled my kitchen and wanted 2 stools for either end of the island so we could sit and have a sandwich. These were perfect. I am also a big guy and these are not cheaply constructed

These stools are not fine furniture by a long shot, but are a good quality for the price. The underside of the seat is rough, and the seat top is a little off-center from the base.The swivel works well enough, but doesn't spin freely. On the plus side, this means it's not a hazard for small children.My biggest complaint is with the color. I realize that "cherry" can mean a lot of different things, but all of them usually have some amount of reddish tone to them. These stools look good, but they don't come anywhere near matching my natural cherry dining table, nor my cherry-stained pine bookcases (which match each other quite nicely). Even my oak cabinets have more red in them. I wouldn't recommend choosing this color to coordinate with any wood that has reddish tones in it.

These are basic stools that the seat swivels. They arrived fully assembled on time and are quite sturdy. You can't beat them for the price.
