I needed a low profile counter stool that fit with my Spanish Revival decor. This has the look of really high end bar stools at a fraction of the cost. The color is almost black with a rustic texture, which is exactly what I was after. Keep in mind that 24 inches is only a little above counter height, so just the very top is visible above a standard counter. The assembly was straightforward and we didn't find it as difficult to assemble as other reviewers did. However, it helps to have two people to do the assembly since the chair has to be turned upside down when attaching the seat to the base. The swivel mechanism weighs a couple of pounds and has to be manipulated to get the screws in to attach it to the chair bottom--awkward but not overly difficult with two people. Also note that the chair arrives in a large, heavy box that has very heavy gauge cardboard rails along all edges for shipping protection. It took a pry bar to remove them as they have wicked long staples.

Seem like great quality chair. Style and look seem more expensive than it is. It's very easy to install. The wood and leather mix beautiful .

Purchased to pair with 3 similar chairs that are discontinued. Fit in just fine. I read a review before I purchased it about getting seat on the swivel after it is already attached to base, so I was patient getting first two in opposite each other. Then I was able to.swivel to get to other two screws. I'm sure this chair is as nice a quality as the three I got from a furniture store years ago.
